Fascists in Profile: are Merseyside BNP ashamed of Andrew Tierney?

Today, Merseyside BNP report that they have had “BNP campaigning teams all over Merseyside.” Clearly, somebody has noticed that they’ve been positively neglecting potential voters locally, and forced them into overdrive.

They’re also getting rattled by Liverpool Antifascists’ determination to expose them for what they are. Without the funding of any political party, or the forced participation of Royal Mail workers at taxpayers’ expense, we have delivered leaflets across North liverpool and Old Swan exposing the BNP as the anti-working class party they really are.

But, in their report of the weekend’s activity, what caught my eye was the caption “ANDY LEARY AND PETER TIERNEY OUT ON THE DOOR STEPS” attached to this picture;

The reason it caught my eye is because I happen to know that this is the original picture;

Why, I wonder, has Andrew Tierney – Peter’s brother – been cut out of the image?

It could well be that he looks a muppet, in shorts and flip-flops, when prospective parliamentary candidate Andy Leary is wearing a suit, and thug-on-bail Peter Tierney at least had the decency to cover up the chicken-legs. However, I think that’s unlikely.

After all, our good friends in Merseyside BNP aren’t afraid to play the fool;

Nor are Merseyside BNP unused to the sight of bare Tierney flesh;

So, what could it possibly be?

My bet, personally, is that they’re ashamed of the knuckle-dragging lunatic. Okay, so his brother isn’t much better, currently awaiting re-trial for beating an anti-fascist across the head with a camera tripod. But you can’t exactly cut the local party’s millionaire benefactor, former owner of Quiggins, and closest thing you have to a celebrity out of the picture now, can you?

On the other hand, his less-known brother, who is constantly trying to get pictures of us “reds” for a pin-up calendar or to sate his “guilty pleasure,” is easier to erase. Especially when, in the past, they’ve tried to claim he was a freelance photographer. Because, of course, freelance photographers often get in the face of anti-fascists, act intimidating, and hang out with neo-Nazis. And here, I’m not actually talking about the BNP.

I’m talking about the members of the openly national socialist Liverpool Front;

Liam Pinkham, on the left, is due to return to Crown Court for not turning up to community service yet again and is expecting a suspended sentence. His previous convictions include threatening to burn down News from Nowhere. Danny Davies, on the right in the baseball cap, was amongst those who turned up to seig heil outside Liverpool Antifascists’ first benefit gig. The reason that Andrew Tierney is talking to a copper in the background is because, after laughing and joking with the Nazis, he decided to get right in the face of a lone anti-fascist leafletter in an attempt to initimdate him and was being reprimanded for that.

Here are Pinkham’s views summed up in a single arm-gesture;

And here is Danny Davies and friends’ greeting to anti-fascists at our benefit gig;

I’m just speculating, of course, but perhaps this – his penchant for intimidation and thuggery as well as his friendliness with neo-Nazi goons – is why Merseyside BNP are embarrassed of Andrew Tierney?

But, if that’s the case, then maybe they ought to be embarassed by Peter Tierney as well;

Something to remember next time these goons post their spam through your letterbox and ask for your vote.

A vote for the BNP is not a protest vote – it is a vote for FASCISM.

    Voting for the BNP should be each persons individual choice not for you to be portraying they are bad people because I know a few of the people you mention to be ‘thugs’ and ‘neo-Nazi goons’ and I can tell you if you got to actually know the people you will see they are not goons, so yeah vote BNP everyone!

      Funny, cause it’s first hand impressions that make us think they’re thugs and goons.If they don’t want that image, they may wanna act differently.
