Scottish Defence League ‘back out’ of Glasgow demo following 5 arrests….NFSE??

Details are unclear at the moment, but at least five members of the Scottish Defence league have been arrested across Scotland. Some at their homes and some at their workplaces.

It would also appear that some are on the run

In a move that is clearly nothing to do with today’s arrests (lol) the Scottish Defence League has decided to back out of tomorrows BNP/SDL demo in Glasgow, because they do not want to cause problems for an already stretched police force.

So it is,  No Fucking Surrender Ever!!!! or until 5 of the 15 SDL members get their collars felt.

The BNP are clearly worried about attendance

****Anti-Fascist Demo IS STILL GOING AHEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

More details re arrests will be added as they are known.

The BNP STILL have 10am Saturday on their blog and their phoneline. The SDL pulled out officially last night. I honestly think the police have their wires crossed on this. The same thugs will turn out wearing a different badge.

Now BNP Scotland are saying they’ve cancelled Glasgow on their blog aswell. There will still be fash rolling up into Glasgow but it looks like they’ve shat it and tan from us. Say they’re going to Dalkeith playpark with Griffin….I hear the locals have a special welcome for him 😉

  5. Scottish? I really don’t think so when they have a red cross laid over our Saltire, just another mob under the thumb of Westminster ! Reminds me of the stories of the “Billy Boys” of how they were formed to intimidate the people of Glasgow, and split more on the religious side, and those BB,s were financed from “Down South” There is a smell of something similar going on,but this time it will fail because we know how they work, and as my old grandfather would say “UP THE REBELS” Freedom for all all none for all.

Just a quick update – 15 assorted Scottish fash were arrested a few days beforehand, with 11 being charged with racially aggravated offences and breach of the peace which happened on various dates previously. On the 28th 3 Brittanica members pulled up a small stall at the opposite end of the main shopping street in the city centre.
More on Brittanica here (warning, the webiste is awful!) http://www.britannicaparty.blogspot.co.uk/

Whilst the “Nae Nazis” block party continued with a rally, live music, face painting etc at the top of the street, around 250 antifascists assembled opposite the Brittanica stall, the police kettled the antifascist group for around an hour, and although we have not been able to get confirmation, it is rumoured, and I must stress *rumoured* that the three Brittanica guys were arrested for something to do with the literature they had on their stall. As they were already surrounded by the police by the time antifa got there, no-one got close enough to see it.

Their stall was available to the public for around 5-10 minutes before being shut down by the police. 2 anti fascists were arrested for obstruction, as the police called a section 60 and searched everyone leaving the kettle. No weapons were found on anyone.
Apologies from all at Sisterhood Against The Fascist Clan for not posting this sooner, we all assumed the others had posted an update already!

We don’t expect to have any further news on the fash arrests, and obviously it could jeopardise the police investigation if we were to comment, so we will have to wait until there has been an official statement from the police.
    Solidarity!
    No Pasaran!
